Open for StarWars questions

Post by Kern Renkay » Tue May 07, 2002 9:55 pm

Alright boys and girls,

I want to open this up for questions to be posted concerning, obviously, Star Wars. Since I became commander of the Avenger, the only Star Wars sim currently running, I have been changing alot of things around. With change comes questions. With that said, fire them off. It will help everyone to understand alittle more about whats going on and whats going to happen in the future.

Has anyone seen the new movie? Did you like it? Oh ya... and someone should start a spoilers line so whoever hasn't seen it can still be surprised. Hunter says he's seen it and loved the movie, says it's worth seeing it on the big screen.

I was curious to see how many people actually knew what those were. Defels, sometimes called wraiths, are creatures whose fur absorbs light. They are intelligent and are many times hired by mercenaries/bounty hunters/smugglers/riff raff/etc... as extra muscle.

::looks about strangely:: Is it a bad thing to know that much about these things?

Next Question

Post by Treggar » Thu Jul 11, 2002 7:21 am

When a star goes nova, as in the Jedi Academy Trilogy, would ships traveling through hyperspace have to make navigation adjustments, like they did in Star Trek: Generations?
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Yes, The Massive Gravitational shifts a Star Going Nova Causes would force ships in hyperspace out of Hyperspace, a safety device does this. and then they'd have to relocate the appropriate Hyperspace beacon and replot their course.
